Sacred Archives: Inside a Girl’s Notes App is a 250-page luxury coffee table book featuring excerpts from girls’ entries on a phone’s note-taking platform. The notes come from far and wide; some are shared by friends of the author, others from imagination, many from emulation, and several are native to reality. They centre on the rich inner cosmos of young women today and their daily reckonings with their place in the world. Be it unsent messages, manifestations, spontaneous poetry, rants verging on unhinged, reflections on socialisation and performance, or simple to-do lists, Sacred Archives holds all the wonder of a girl coming into herself.

While textually dense, Sacred Archives interweaves visual language throughout the book, featuring art and photography by the author on each coated page. Overtly feminine, the imagery is drenched in symbolism and critique of the tropes and tragedies underlining the experience of womanhood. Portraits of fruits, both ripe and rotting, Persian rugs dotted with pearls and tea cups to flora and fauna complement notes on mortality, desire, performance, sustenance, and knowledge - the darkest thoughts are dressed in the prettiest ornaments. The hardcover is glazed with a UV finish on the pearls and pomegranates, poised to serve as a preening object in any room (the irony is an omnipresent feature in design and composition). Teeming with whimsy, laughter, pain, and paradox, this book lays bare all that lies behind a girl’s bitten tongue.
